Kettlebell Figure 8

The kettlebell figure eight is a fairly basic beginners exercise, but is also suitable for all levels.  This works your quads, glutes, hamstrings and core. It can also benefit your core stability, balance and stamina.

It is slow paced and performed for longer amounts of time to develop slow strength and muscular endurance rather than speed or explosive power.

One caution here is to watch out that you don’t bend your upper body forward too much.  Bend at your hips and knees.

Always start with a lighter kettlebell when learning new movements, even the slower exercises. It’s always smart to get the feeling for a new exercise before adding more weight.
