The Kettlebell Squat

The squat is a basic real-life motion that many people need to perform almost on a daily basis.  The kettlebell squat is a simple exercise with great muscle-building and strength benefits. 

There can also be a beneficial twist with the squat – when using just a single kettlebell your are naturally unbalanced.  This requires your core to keep you balanced and steady, thereby adding abdominal work to what is usually considered a leg workout.

As is often the case with kettlebells, there are several variations and combination that are possible, but here is just the basic move.



Of course, a variation on this is the double kettlebell squat.
