The Kettlebell Thruster

The kettlebell thruster is essentially a progression of a squat and an overhead press. The squat provides the momentum to drive the kettlebell up over your head and into the top position, (the thruster portion of the movement).

It is best to perform this as one fluid motion.  Don’t stop or hesitate after the squat portion, and then do the press.  Keep it a single continuous movement.

During the downward motion be sure to maintain a tight grip on the kettlebell, and control it back down to the rack position.

This is an excellent exercise to work virtually all the muscle groups in your body.
