The Kettlebell Windmill

The kettlebell windmill is not just an excellent stretch, but also an outstanding kettlebell movement for developing the waist, back and hips. The windmill works the shoulder, scapula and lat, at the same time.

This is not really a beginner move. You have to first have the capacity to complete a press then hold the arm locked out overhead. You need be able to hold this position for 30 seconds or even more.

Try this without having any weight at first. Then start with an easy weight. There is no urgency to go heavy with this routine, other than when the kettlebell is in the low position. The proper form is what is most critical here, particularly when performing any of the other kettlebell windmill variations.
